This NON-DUTY Training Use round delivers the same renowned HST bullet design trusted by law enforcement agencies nationwide offering reliable expansion, strong penetration, and consistent performance. This “Non-Duty” variant provides shooters access to high-quality HST ammunition at an excellent value.
Each round uses Federal’s 147-grain HST Jacketed Hollow Point, engineered to expand reliably through common barriers while maintaining impressive weight retention. The bullet’s jacket and deep cavity design help produce uniform mushrooming.
Although this load uses the same HST projectile style, Federal officially classifies NDHST2 as a non-duty round because it did not pass every portion of their stringent internal law-enforcement qualification protocol. While the deviations may have been minor, Federal’s policy requires full compliance before any round is labeled “duty-approved.”
This classification does not mean the ammunition is unsafe or unreliable only that it is not designated for agency duty contracts.
Ammunition received may or may not have sealed primers, may be nickel-plated brass or standard brass casing dependent upon case.
