Case quantities are whatever size the manufacturer packages their boxes of ammo in when they send it to a store or retailer. So for example, a “case” of Blazer 9mm FMJ, is going to be 1,000 rounds of ammunition packaged in 20 boxes of 50 rounds a piece. 50 rounds per box, 20 boxes per cardboard case, 1,000 rounds in the case. On the other hand, hunting ammunition like Soft Point 30-06, or Polymer Tip .308, are more commonly found in 200 round cases, 10 boxes of 20 rounds. Why’s it important? To save you money.
